Never thought I 'd be writing a negative review of Sawatdy, but here we are. Ordered our usual after a long day, excited to eat it when I go home, but there was no spice. I always get northern noodle 3 stars. This time, there was no stars. I called to let them know, since I 've been a customer for over 20 years and this has never happened. The owner said that I was mistaken that there was spice, but I probably didn 't notice it, and refused to refund the dish or offer any alternative bc she didn 't want to lose money . So here I am, with a dish that doesn 't even really taste good without its spice, that I paid for, and isn 't what I ordered. I 've ordered this dish 50+ times, I know what it 's supposed to taste like. Pretty bummed about the whole thing. Also sad that now we won 't be going back ever again bc the whole interaction was so off putting.
Quality all the way. Worth going out of your way for.
Best Thai place I’ve ever been to. I’ve traveled all over the world, and eaten so many different phad thais and curries. Nothing beats Sawatdy Phad Thai. 100/10. MUST go. It is expensive, but one order can feed 2-3 people Vegetarian options: I’m vegan/vegetarian and there are so many options! Staff is great with vegan/vegetarian
I seek out Thai restaurants like Lagotto Romagnolo crashing through the woods searching for truffles. Everything we shared was delightful, full flavored and sufficiently spicy. The Tom kah gai soup was a creamy sweet and sour trip. Plentiful portions assured that we would have leftovers the following day. And on Bainbridge Island amazing find!
