The place is small and easy to miss. The flavors though aren't small! The green salsa is spicy but for anyone who loves real Mexican food this is why you come to a place like this. The prices are actually ridiculously low for the quality and portion size. Try it.
Whoa! Ordered Molcajetes Mixto, Enchiladas Verdes, Tacos and Rice. The food here is amazing! This quaint unpretentious business packs a punch with low prices and plenty of food per platter. I would invite anyone to come check this place out. BYOB keep in mind they didn’t have anything to keep our bottles of beer cold. They were able to provide a large cup with ice which did the trick.
Experience a taste of Mexico without leaving South Jersey at Los Molcajetes, the reason why Taco Bell has no foothold in the area—there's simply no comparison. This restaurant serves up authentic Mexican cuisine made fresh while you wait. I've enjoyed their burritos, which are packed with a full meal, not just beef and beans. On my latest visit, I opted for the quesadillas. While they resemble the American or Tex-Mex versions, the flavors are more balanced and they won’t leave you gasping for water. They do offer red and green sauces if you're feeling adventurous, but it’s entirely up to you. When you order a Coke, you’ll be served the authentic Mexican version made with sugar, not artificial sweeteners—ah, the taste of my childhood! I didn’t have enough room for dessert this time, but I definitely plan to try it on my next visit, and there will be a next visit! The restaurant is a modest roadside spot, so don’t expect any flashy decor. Instead, you’ll find hardworking staff serving delicious meals made with love, kindness, and a smile—three things that make each dish taste even better!
"I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. The staff deliberately hung up on me while I was trying to place my order over the phone. The burrito I received was below average; I've definitely had better for the same price this year. They also don't offer paper bags and charge $0.50 for a polyester bag. To make matters worse, the cook was sneezing without a mask right by the grill. And to top it all off, I found a bone in my burrito! (See the second photo for evidence)."
