The Indian Tavern - Brierley Hill

Call me old school but I would love actual service, the app seems to make every worker ignorant, no greeting, no menu's were given, no explanation of how things work, no cutlery until we asked, no plates until we asked, the wine bottle wasn't even open and when we asked she looked at us like she didn't understand, no one cleaned tables when new food came so there was no room. If staff are only there to bring food out then it's fine, but other than that the customer service is shocking. Just because you have a ordering app doesn't mean you can't offer good customer service too, it would also be nice to have a choice, anyone older than 30 would struggle here, there's just no direction , iv been to more welcoming street food venues. But apart from this the food was absolutely stunning and price wasn't too bad. The venue was nice and quirky kids got some lovely pics) the benches were a bit much for us oldies getting in and out we brought nan along too and she really struggled. Again it's obviously just aimed at people under 30 I think.

My starter was lovely as was my main course, which was chicken tikka masala. However the main was unlike any masala I have had before. Given my friend's Dad invented it, I know what should be in it. There seemed a number of ingredients missing. My dessert of chocolate cake was OK but it was crying out for ice cream or cream but I received just the cake. Nothing else. No cream or ice cream. It was dry. Now this restaurant is established, it must start to do better.

Amazing food! Service was great, they really make you feel looked after. Really good cocktails too!

The food here is lovely especially the vegetarian options. Not many restaurants offer soya but this is one of the few places that does. Will definitely be going back.

A different experience , service not great as we waited to order drinks but overall very good food in a modern lively tavern .
