Contribuisci feedbackThis family-owned Bangladeshi restaurant has become a favorite spot for me and my friends. We have dined here twice in the past two months, trying their Biryani Sunday and Mega Mixed Thali. The restaurant operates on a BYOB policy, with corkage donations going to an educational foundation in Bangladesh. The food quality and quantity are outstanding, with the Mega Mixed Thali being particularly noteworthy - it easily fed four of us for just £50. The Biryani Sunday was also impressive, offering more food than we could handle for just £15 each. The wait for food can be a bit long as everything is cooked to order, but it’s worth it for the delicious, flavorful dishes. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, with a no-frills, old-school cafe vibe. If you're looking for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine at reasonable prices, this restaurant is a great choice. Highly recommended for those who don't mind the dated decor and value great food above all else.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. It is a family-run establishment that offers exceptional service and serves delicious food. Tuntun's is known for its authentic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine, cooked flawlessly. It would be difficult to find a better Indian restaurant in Brighton.
I don't frequent this café as much as I should, but every time I visit, I am pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food. It is a delightful experience to bring your own alcohol and put the corkage charge into the charity box. The cuisine at this café is Bangladeshi, which offers a refreshing change from traditional Indian dishes. The fish dishes are especially outstanding, particularly the tilapia fillet and other delicious options. Overall, the food is simply delightful and I highly recommend trying it out.
Had a meal during the week. Unbeatable value for money. Very very tasty food. BYOB is a bonus (donation to charity asked for). Premises are simple and functional so don't expect more than that. Lovely Lassi drink which isn't often on the menu elsewhere and a great curry accompliment.
Absolutely wonderful veggie thali this evening- a beautiful warm and lightly spiced split lentil Dahl with a crunch and zing of coriander stalk, a fantastic touch. A garlicky spinach and potato dish, again warmly and mildly spiced, like a warm blanket wrapped around you. True comfort. A whole bag of crunchy fried treats, including a paratha, mini samosas, delightfully large and crispy onion bhaji and a daal poori stuffed with tasty chickpeas. Needless to say, I didn’t finish or even start the rice! Thank you so much for this delicious food, I will of course be back to try more!
