Hungry Jacks Herston - Brighton

I went to grab a quick bite to eat, but needed to use the restroom first. Unfortunately, as the title suggested, it was dirty. In addition to avoiding the urine on the floor, the hand soap dispenser was empty. I believe that the cleanliness of a restaurant reflects on its overall quality, so I decided to leave. Although the restaurant was busy, it is the responsibility of the management to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees and customers. I do not recommend this Hungry Jacks location.

I have visited this restaurant a few times as it is close to the hospital. The food is usually of good quality, but the restaurant itself is terrible. The tables and chairs are rarely clean, and the toilets are in a disgusting state with feces on the walls and pools of urine on the floor. It is impossible to enter the toilet without stepping in urine. Around 8pm, the staff start putting chairs on tables, giving the impression that the restaurant is closed. The automatic door is switched off from the inside at 9pm, causing people to walk into it and the staff to laugh at them. The manual button to open the door is hidden behind a bin and not visible, which is a violation of safety regulations. Sometimes there is no ice cream available, which is frustrating on hot days. The managers do not seem to care about these issues. The bins outside are never emptied, and rubbish blows around the car park. It is clear that regional managers do not visit, which is a violation of environmental regulations. I do not recommend eating here; instead, try a cold sandwich from the petrol station next door.

I typically don't write reviews for restaurants or fast food chains, but I must say I was very disappointed with this particular store. There were numerous issues during my visit, including long wait times, difficulty communicating with the drive-thru staff, and lackluster service. The staff member who handed me my food didn't say anything and seemed indifferent. I have experienced similar problems on multiple occasions, even though it was different team members each time. The store also seemed understaffed during lunch hours, leading to poor service. Additionally, I received cold food, incorrect orders, wrong drinks, and was even told at the last window that they didn't have my order after I had already paid for it. These are just a few of the many issues I encountered. I am usually patient and do not complain, but the service at this Hungry Jacks location was beyond terrible. It seems like there may be management issues and a lack of training for the staff. I have previously worked at a Hungry Jacks store, so I am familiar with how things should be run. If I had behaved like the staff at the Herston location, I would have likely lost my job. I strongly advise against visiting this store and recommend finding another location. Personally, I will not be returning.

Ordered 2 burgers and chicken nuggets. 1 burger special ordered no condiments. Took 8 minutes to get to the counter to order. You can see in the back of the kitchen it appears filthy with dirty broken equipment on view. They don't give you a docket for your order. Waited another 6 mins then counter staff call out 1 of the burgers called was the special when I checked the bag had the special nuggets and someone else's fires 1 burger missing. Went back to the counter and informed staff my order was incorrect took another 5 minutes for them to sort it out. Food quality is very poor. Staff stressed and not enough of them. Will never go back avoid at all cost.

PENDING MODERATIONHonestly I never write reviews on restaurants or fast food chains but this store has me really disappointed. There is so many issues with this store today I waited for ages and had the usual issues with the drive thru person not hearing anything. Then I Waited probably 10 mins jus to for a cheeseburger meal. Then when the staff member just hand me the food and say absolutely nothing and just give me a blank look. This has happened multiple times and it's not even the same team meamber each time. Also when I have walked into your stores at lunch it is severely understaffed and the service is poor. As well as these issues I have had cold food, wrong food, wrong drinks, paid for orders and then been told at the last window they don't have it. And so many more it would take me an hour just to list it. As I said I'm very patient and never complain. But what the heck Hungry Jacks this store and service is more than terrrible. My guess is that the management is poor in this store and staff training isn't common. Also I have worked in a Hungry Jacks store in the past so I know how they should run and how the service should be. I'm sure I would have lost my job if I acted like the staff you have in Herston! All i can say is don't go to this store find somewhere else! I'm never gonna return here myself.
