Il Forno Pizzeria - Brighton

This pizza was probably the worst I've ever had. It was lukewarm, poorly topped, and tasted like a reheated sandwich with a cardboard-like base. Paying $46.50 for 2 pizzas of such low quality was a complete disgrace and extremely disappointing. I would never go back to this restaurant.

We used to frequently eat at Il Forno when the original owners were in charge, but it had been several years since our last visit. On a recent visit, we could tell that the staff was making an effort, but unfortunately the overall experience was not satisfactory.

I am extremely disappointed with the recent changes in ownership at this restaurant. The food quality has significantly declined, and my family and I will no longer be returning as customers. I tried giving it a third chance, but the experience was even worse than the last two times. The pizzas I ordered were burnt and poorly made, and the overall price of $76 was not worth the subpar quality. The lack of consistency in the pizza toppings was also disappointing. I used to support the new owners, but I cannot overlook the poor customer service, high prices, and lack of care in the food preparation. I hope you are able to make significant improvements and regain the reputation you once had as a top restaurant in Brisbane. As it stands now, I believe you will continue to fall short of expectations.

I really don't think the pizzas are anything special and in my opinion are vastly overpriced! Also, mine had nowhere near the toppings shown in the photos above and was burnt on the underside providing an unpleasant after taste.

Sunday night, dine in group of 4 (with reservation) had to hustle for attention ... to place an order, ... to have pizzas served, ... for utensils for serving food. Took over an hour to be served pizzas while take away customers came and went with frustrating regularity and speed. Pizzas eventually delivered but then had to ask again for the accompanying salad and THEN had to ask for serving utensils for the salad. GO figure. Pizzas were ok when they eventually arrived. Can take home leftovers if you like. Outside seating is right beside the road so be prepared for some car exhaust fumes when you dine. GF pizza bases are individually sealed and on individual trays but are cooked in the same oven as everything else.
