Taigum Tavern - Brighton

Staying in this part of the world there is not a lot of choices for places to eat but the Taigum Tavern was comfortable, the service was good and OK value for money for a good meal. Serice from ordering to getting meal was quite good

Ice cold beer and decent food. Friendly staff and a modern decor. All in all a nice place to have a meal and a drink or two.

While staying in Taigum we liked the look of the specials this Tavern had advertised. We weren't disappointed. Staff were helpful and friendly and we both ordered a steak with different sauces. Steaks were cooked as to our liking and service was prompt (however it was a Sunday night ) so they weren't busy. Good value for money.

This yet another favorite eating place of ours in Brisie. It is within walking distance of the Colonial Village where we stay but we choose to take the car. Brisbane is a very hilly place and it can be an effort walking around. It’s not a Michelin grade Restaurant but the meals are great value and as close as you will get to good old fashioned home cooked meals as you will get in a Tavern. Again staff and patrons are friendly and if you’re a rugby fan, they have a monster screen in the dining room so you won’t miss a single minute of the action. The Tavern also has 'pokies' so after a great meal you can while away a bit of time and support the local economy or if you’re lucky, walk away with more cash than you started with.

We had a meal at the tavern prior to going to the Entertainment centre for a concert - food was good and reasonable, service was quick .
