Comedy - lesson in how not to run a food / hospitality business. From the "welcome" onwards things went from awful to worse. Cold setting with AC blowing down my back (it's winter here); waitress (very kind) but not briefed on the menu at all; maitre'd more concerned with showing his staff how the till works than looking after his guests; food when it arrived was just warm - interesting combination that had huge potential but failed in execution of actually cooking the **** thing - rare ribeye as I requested - I suspect previously cooked plates and warmed up once the "chef art" had been added. Fat was raw (white) and not rendered at all - good temp (surface cooling to middle) no more than 30c.All in all a clumsy and uncomfortable place that lacks atmosphere - professionalism - skill - capability - logic. A big shame as the food and wine on your doorstep are plentiful - execution is lacking.I won't be down for you $30 breakfast either !
On a visit to Brisbane, my friend chose Asana as her pick of restaurant as she prefers paleo food. I don't have any dietary requirements so i wasn't that excited about going as i thought i would find the menu a little restrictive. More than happy to say that the restaurant was fab - a good menu with choices for everyone. I had the pepperoni pizza which i think was about $23 and absolutely delicious. A good wine menu and also a very tempting dessert menu. A lovely experience
Great healthy food.Friendly informative staff. One of the few places my wife can eat at.Reasonably priced.
Buffet breakfast was included with my stay at Capri. I will never eat at Asana again. Omelettes were overcooked. Not a great range of food. Croissants tasted like rolled up cardboard. Not a good experience at all. I expected so much more but was left so disappointed.
