L's Espresso Cafe - BRISBANE CITY

4.7 dollars for a regular sized coffee. Slightly overpriced but coffee was good. Not burnt. Lady serving was not rude but could use a smile. Will be back to try the food.

Scones & sandwiches are very nice, if expensive (but then again it's the city) the coffee is terrible and I mean terrible (it's Merlo which should be good and is else where but here!) I have left 3 cups in the last couple of months after the first sip.

The Brisbane Arcade was having a sale and L's Espresso Bar was hopping. The staff were just a bit abrupt, but the Flat White (Merlo Coffee) and Fruit Toast were both good - both rate a 3. Wish I had known that they are renowned for their scones - I didn't see them until after I had already ordered, but they did look good. The prices on Zomato might be out of date, because a Flat White and an order of Fruit Toast was just over $9.

This is a really cute and cosy place, located in the Brisbane arcade. Always walk pass the arcade but never got to get in, but today walked through the arcade and walked pass the cafe plus wanting a coffee at lunch time, so we decided to have a try.  Coffee - Not bad at all.  And seeing the big toasted sandwiches from other tables (looks good to me).

I believe this place has changed management since I was here last- and it’s still as good, if not better. If you’re after great quality simple food, this place is hard to beat. And the long blacks are pretty good too!
