And there a young lady sings so beautiful, the ambiente really set. large pizza ovens, open kitchens and cook dressed perfectly. place looks very stylish, plastic one-side menu draws from the poshness of the decor. order the porch and was not that impressed. the black was soft and juicy, the crack was soft and really gumsy. the plate was not well presented and so we ordered nothing else. oh crumbled bread was great. I think this place could be great, the cook saw top shelf through its dress code, but the hotel really needs to train the hotel staff. I have an aperol and a limette with a piece of orange? The restaurant is basically a schnitzel of the world menu with some novel combos. I had the Irish. Chicken schnitzel with potato bake on top, chips and salad $12:50.What I got (see pic) was one small mouthful of rocket salad a few cold chips and the tiny schnitzel that had two slithers of potato under a blob of cheese. We had two for one vouchers hence our visit and on our arrival was greeted by a very stand offish waitress , not a good start , we placed our order which the waitress got completely wrong unbeknownst to us till our meals arrived , chef Mark had excelled in the presentation of our meals however I had the wrong sauce I ordered on my fillet Mignon and it was cooked medium rare which should have been medium , my friends scotch fillet was chewy and the potatoes were slightly undercooked , although I didn't mention anything my friend did mention her steak to be chewy and on the tough side and as such the waitress continued her displeasure at our presence whilst there , even with the entertainment book voucher we still ended up spending more than $140 thanks to some good wine on offer , I now understand they have renamed the place and apparently all staff and chef are no longer there . However for us it was a wasted opportunity to enjoy and indulge mostly thanks to the waitress with the attitude , I would consider going back now that it's all changed but not before I speak to the new management , I have over 105,000 readers of my 137 reviews here and oversea in fact I'm in the top one percent of trip advisor reviewers and can be contacted on 0473034140

This restaurant has been renamed as Peel St, Tavern and situated on the ground floor of the Capitol Apartments on Peel Street, Brisbane.We had breakfast here each day we stayed at the Capitol and ordered different meals each time. All are consistent good with delicious coffee.The evening meals are equally delicious and would recommend the Panko Crumbed Chicken done in some many ways that you head will spin trying to work out which one you want and great value at $17.90. Other meals such as the pasta, nachos, barra were all great value and very yummy. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the Chef and his offsider work incredibly hard to give such consistently good meals. Well done.
