Not until I drove past and noticed the queue of customers outside this bakery, then I realized I was at the Albion area.Have not been back for nearly three years that tempted me to give it a go. Followed the queue and waited around five minutes to get the chance to order an almond croissant and a flat white.Well the croissant was not he best that I had but it came with good texture and the filling was not over-sweet. Coffee served as the perfect partner for the croissant. They made me a good Sunday brekkiePrevious rating: Sep 2017 3.5/5
In one word: Doughnuts!! Oh my goodness. I was fortunate enough to try a warm jam-filled doughnut. It was incredibly delicious. The size was perfect, allowing for just the right amount of filling without being overwhelming. If this place were closer to my home, I would definitely visit daily. Maybe it's a good thing that it's not closer... :)
The employees are always incredibly friendly. I highly recommend trying the brownie - it will completely change your idea of what a brownie can be and set a new standard for all others. It is incredibly rich and indulgent.
Moved to this area 7 months ago and I always opt to drive all the way to Flour n Chocolate in Morningside or Chouquette in New Farm whenever I crave for good artisan pastry. However yesterday I decided to give this place a try. It’s got a different style however I wasn’t disappointed at all. It still can’t beat FnC/Chouqette but it saves me from the traffic hassle. It is a bit pricey though. Had feta and tomato quiche, raspberry financier, and salmon bagel. I guess I’m lucky because all tasted really delicious. Still curious about their sourdough doughnuts. Will come back very soon. Maybe tomorrow . Second visit: Parmesan bagel and cheese, onion, and poppy seeds bagel. Winner: still the salmon bagel from 2 days ago. Sourdough mini doughnuts: winner: raspberry jam doughnut! The jam is so fresh and natural. I didn’t really like the chocolate doughnut. Cappuccino: ok not so special but not bad. Service: great and friendly :
Fabulous little bakery on Sandgate Road offering a great range of sourdough loafs, sausage rolls, bagels, buns, donuts and even dog biscuits.
