Contribuisci feedbackItalian break is a small, simple Italian caffe that serves homemade pastas. in 2016 they moved from paddington to the west end and are far enough outside the hectic and the truppet from the west end that they were several months there before I noticed them. the prices are somewhat steep and the portions are not large (8 ravioli for $18,) more reflective for a bistro that offers a bit more ambiente, but the spinach ravioli were delicious (4). the value and cleanliness of the bathroom (in the necessity of a good slide) keep this from a 4.
Non pretentious, genuine Italian dishes made with quality ingredients (including soul). Several visits have shown a consistent standard. Lunch, dinner or just coffee all excellent. The decor is plain simple. This is no shmancy place. Just good, honest food in a friendly home style atmosphere. Highly recommended.
This restaurant doesn't have the greatest street appeal: it looks a bit boring. Don't let that dissuade you. It's run by a charming couple from Bologna, and they make pretty much everything on site. Great pasta, and I'm told the sweets are lovely. Coffee here is the least expensive on Boundary Street, and holds its own in Brisbane's coffee capital. Neat wine list. Check it out.
This restaurant is simple, the food is divine. Prices are reasonable and the food is cooked with love you can taste and see it. We had meat balls, eggplant parmigiana, and semolina gnocchi with smoked salmon. Everything was fresh and delectable. Th his restaurant is run by a couple .. there is always a selection of delicious home made cakes and biscuits available too. No complaints, you wouldn’t be disappointed here. Also the zucchini parmigiana is yum. The rest of the menu has some great choices including saltimbucca Vitello.
Very cosy and relaxed atmosphere and all products are homemade and handmade. Young Italian couple started this little restaurant about 4months ago. Yummy traditional Italian home-style cooking and warm friendly service. We had Antipasti platter , prosciutto, ham, cheese, pecorino, salami, pickled vegetables and toasted sourdough bread. Gorgeous plate and great starter with nice Italian red. We loved Crab Ravioli , beautiful seafood flavour and al dente ravioli. And my favourite was Eggplant parmigiana . Layered of ham, tomato sauce and eggplant, melting cheese on the top. Fantastic combinations and delicious harmony in my mouth. Don 't skip the desserts ! So good ! Orange charloutte , layers of fluffy sponge cake and tasty orange custard and cream. on the top. And Panna Cotta was rich, tasty and silky smooth. One more thing I love is coffee. They use Puro which is fair-trade organic bean. My friend love this restaurant and she took me here today and I love it, too !
