Tried their "roll your own spring roll" and it so yummy! You must come to this restaurant because it can make you addict to this food. And for your drink, you must try their viatnamese coffee, because it so yummy too. The taste of this coffee not too strong for you who doesn't like to drink coffee. Will be come back to this restaurant for eat the roll your own spring roll, drink viatnamese coffee and try others menu.
Fabulous Find. This little restaurant next door to the Coles and across the road from the Jindalee Tavern/Pub has been here for yonks, but has recently been refurbed. I cannot tell you how many times I have walked past the place on my way into the supermarket/chemist/doctors and never taken any notice. So the refurb is great because it finally caused me to actually consider eating here - and I am so pleased that we did. I know I always say it - we eat Viet a lot - that, along with Indian are our two favourite cuisines - and we are die-hard fans of a few places at Darra and Inala, so a new place has to be good to have us consider adding it to our "favourites" list - Jindalee Villa is now firmly in the top five. The evening we went it was busy but not full, so we managed to snag a table. We ordered the plum duck special and some roll-your-own fresh spring rolls, oh and a salty fish rice (I can't eat fried rice anymore after discovering the joy of the salty fish rice, I always get disappointed now at chinese places because they don't offer it the way viet places do). Anyway I defer - every last bite that we had was absolutely delicious - with the duck a standout. For once not heavily coated in batter (although don't get me wrong, I quite like a plum duck with heavy batter) - but rather this was very lightly coated in almost a japanese-style batter and OMG the plum sauce that came with it - like nothing I have ever eaten before anywhere (even in Asia). This has to be tasted to be believed - a flavour party happening in your mouth that you never want to end. The fresh viet rolls were also yum - we had the beef filling and it was fabulous. I have also seen a duck san choi bao on their specials menu (the night I "noticed" the place but wasn't eating out) that I am hoping appears back on the specials board soon as I really want to give that a go. We will be back - a lot - time to give the beef pho (my go to viet dish) a try here - hoping it's as good as I think it will be. There may not be a view, or much ambience - but the service is friendly and the food is amahhhzing!!!
