McDonald's - Brisbane

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Macca's isn't exactly the healthiest or greatest eating option on the planet. Indeed, there's no doubt people frowning now that this review has even been carried out... Certainly, the 'Fillet O Fish' is pleasing enough - sure, it looks nothing like the picture professes, Lord only knows why they leave half a cheese slice on instead of a full one and you don't exactly feel like you've eaten well after. Nutrition aside, and the steamed bun, tartare sauce and fish itself make for a decent fish burger.  The Chocolate milkshake - loaded with calories and extra thick milk - is stunningly chocolatey, offers plenty of calcium and protein and is always consistently amazing. Its normally always cold as well, which is something rivals Hungry Jacks could learn a thing or two with their Chocolate milkshakes (or at least on the last visit, anyway.) To close, its a shake that is often imitated, but unless your paying extra dollars, rarely beaten.

I am not ashamed (okay, maybe slightly) to admit that I have been to quite a few McDonald's in my lifetime. Some worse than others, but Chermside McDonald's puts them all to shame in customer service. How hard is it to get a bottle of water out of a fridge? Apparently the staff aren't trained how to get a bottle of water out of the fridge here. Admittedly it is Christmas and it was busy, but I waited 10 minutes to get a bottle of water here. I lined up like everyone else and I was given an order number. I didn't think much of it at the time, but then I had to wait 10 minutes for my number to be called out. People who ordered stuff after me (food mostly) were getting their orders before me. Horrible.

I wanted to write this review for weeks because I came through these maccas all the time, the people know how hard the young employees work at maccas? especially at chermside brisbane. not only are they always busy working hard, they are the most beautiful political young people I've ever met, not only that, they all treat me with respect, above all. I was at the weekends everywhere, so they serve the worst customers I've ever seen. they have to put up with disrespect, especially on Friday Saturday evenings by drunk customers who have just got out of the pub etc. the police are called a few times because crazy fights are almost breaking out. The personal is great here and I always love eating. I like that they can get the day menu in the morning now..but it's ridiculous that they can get a quarter peer, but not a double.
