I ordered the salmon lion king, hotate (scallop) aburi, avocado maki, gyoza, and chicken katsudon. The sushi dishes were incredibly delicious, as expected. The gyoza was rated 4 out of 5. However, the chicken katsudon was disappointing, receiving a 2.5 out of 5 rating. The chicken was very soggy, and it seemed like it may have been pre-cooked with the egg on top and reheated in the microwave. The pieces of onion were too large, so I left them in the bowl. The sauce was not flavorful enough to make up for the bland egg and soggy chicken. The curry ordered by the table next to us smelled amazing, and I would have ordered it if it wasn't such a hot day. Sushi Kotobuki is located on the other side of town from where I live, so I probably wouldn't make a special trip to return, but I would definitely stop by for sushi if I happened to be in the area.
The Lion King roll is fantastic and the Ruby roll is delicious as well! The employees at this restaurant are always kind and friendly.
This restaurant brings back fond memories of my time living and working in the city. The food and portion sizes were impressive, earning a 9/10 on the #kikoscale. The colorful presentation and Japanese hospitality also received a 9/10 rating. Overall, a great dining experience for any foodie, especially those who love Japanese cuisine and seafood. #food #foodie #brisbanefoodie #brisbanefood #chirashidon @sushikotobuki #japanese #sashimi #seafood #dinner #workfriends
This is the place you take your friends to ease them into the idea of eating raw fish. Cheap and healthy option. You stroll 800 meters down the block for a beer afterwards
This place is truly heavenly. This place is consistently good and I’ve been a million times. It’s super reasonably priced and the sushi is the best.
