New Moon Cafe - Bristol

We had an amazing dining experience at a lovely table with a candelabra at this exceptional restaurant. We sampled the cherry pebbles in curry sauce and the crab and lemongrass risotto.

It appears that the people of Bristol have a strong affinity for tapas! During our visit, we noticed so many tapas and small plate restaurants. My friend even stumbled upon a Greek option.

I had my second dining experience at this restaurant recently. The menu offered a variety of dishes, some of which were unique compared to other tapas places. The presentation was lovely, and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well as quail for those who enjoy game meat. The restaurant had an innovative theme week, with Brazil being the featured country during the week of the Olympics. Dessert options included a delicious coconut pudding and crepe suzette. I highly recommend the prawns, scallops, aubergines, artichoke dish, and paella. Unfortunately, the main drawback was the poor organization, which is a common issue in many establishments due to inadequate staff training. Our waitress got our order wrong, and we had to wait over an hour for our meal while others who arrived after us were served first. Despite this, the waitress apologized and discounted some of our drinks from the bill. The staff seemed overwhelmed, likely due to the restaurant being full. A suggestion to the manager/owner would be to seek professional assistance to improve organization and communication with the kitchen, and to have additional staff on busy nights. The restaurant is small, so making a reservation is necessary. Overall, the restaurant is worth a visit, just be prepared for some hiccups along the way.

Disappointed that restaurant have not updated their details on opentable therefore could not find our booking and had no available tables. We were sat at the bar and the food was lovely. Although the staff were friendly they was alot lacking. We ordered a soup/stew and were not given a spoon. We requested one twice and were never given one. Nice restaurant and had a lovely evening but could have been better.

Had a fabulous dinner here with my partner. The tapas plates were excellent, so flavoursome, and the Maghreb specialities were wonderful. The staff were great. Thankyou for a lovely evening
