Visited for my son 's birthday which happens to be on Valentine 's Day interesting choices for the evening in music terms plenty of 80 's US soft rock (fine) but notably songs in the vein of 'after the love is gone ' and 'here I am again on my own ' at slightly over 'discreet ' volume added to an odd ambience for romantic dining. Happily I have not a romantic bone in my body so perhaps that aspect of the restaurant experience is better left to experts. Anyway there was a good choice of drinks, service was charming and the food was fine but I thought slightly overpriced for both the quality and quantity served. I wanted to try corn dogs (which were nice) and my boy, at let 's say an awkward age for dining with ones parents, appreciated the Big Bang Theory on loop on the tv. So overall, fine.
Really fun time, good food and friendly staff. Really nice decor!!
Found this on Tripadvisor when looking for an inexpensive restaurant close to O2 Academy (3 minutes walk). Restaurant is American Diner themed, well decorated and spotlessly clean. We were the first table of the evening, so a little quiet initially, but soon started filling up. Staff very welcoming and attentive. I had the Burger with stilton and mushroom filling which could only be described as excellent, one of the best I have ever eaten. My wife had the Southern fried chicken burger which was also excellent. We're going back to try the ribs sometime soon! Highly recommended restaurant.
Took our daughter there for her birthday and after seeing reviews and pics online was really looking forward to it. One shinning aspect was the waitress, attentive and helpful. Quite a long wait for food with only two occupied tables and of the three meals only one was great. The corn dogs arrived with totally cold waffle chips that in fairness was rectified by staff fairly quickly. Southern Fried chicken and waffles overcooked. Chicken was chocolate brown rather than golden and hence very dry. Waffles were the same and half the meal was left on the plate. The rack of ribs was really good though so mixed feelings. Would give it another try but in no rush to revisit.
Always a fab taste of home. Its becoming a tradition to go there on the 4th of July, but I'm also there for anytime I fancy a corn dog! Amazingly good
