We arrived at 12:30 and had to wait over 30 minutes for our order to be taken. Even after that, we had to wait over an hour for our food, while other tables that arrived after us were served before us. The food was poor quality and not worth the price. We were so disappointed that we didn't even order dessert because we didn't want to wait another hour, meaning we left the pub hungry at 3:45. Our main courses and drinks ended up costing over £300. Overall, the service was terrible and we were very disappointed. Not a good experience.
I visited Brassmill last year and enjoyed the Sunday Roast. However, my experience today for lunch with a group of 10 people was disappointing. We were informed of a 30 to 40 minute wait, which was not an issue. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, we found the portions to be small, especially the Gluten Free Hunters Chicken. The chicken breast lacked bacon or cheese, only having BBQ sauce and 12 French fries. Additionally, the Gammon Steak meals were served cold with minimal chips. On a positive note, the lasagne was delicious and served hot. Overall, our experience has deterred us from returning, as we found the meals to be overpriced with small portions, leaving us still hungry.
The food at this restaurant is always delightful, especially the pork belly on Sundays. It is definitely worth a visit. The average price per person is between £40-50. The food, service, and atmosphere all rated a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying their Sunday Roast.
