Cubana Fourways

I came here for a night of fun with my friend . I was really keen for a fun filled night with lots of dancing . Upon arrival ,it was literally a staring competition between us and the female waiters till one of them finally came up to serve us . Luckily we got a different waiter ,who was super nice and provided an excellent service . <br/ <br/ The lighting in the place is pretty dim and for anyone who is as blind as a bat like me lol,so moving around is a struggle. <br/ The bathrooms are super clean but I found it a bit cringeworthy that there’s a lady who gives you paper towels at the door . I’m pretty sure a paper towel dispenser can do the job.<br/ People are allowed to smoke inside after 10 pm ,<br/ so if you’re not a smoker ,here’s a heads up . The music is out of this world ,tons of variety . It’s also at nightclub volume levels ,so if you’re here for a quiet evening this isn’t the right place . <br/ <br/ To eat we shared the the chicken strips basket and ordered a bottle of wine for drinks . The strips were really good ,super crispy and actually quite a lot for one person . <br/ <br/ This is a great spot ,especially if you’re looking for a vibe . Especially ideal for nightlife ,would definitely come again . <br/ <br/

Food is good and portions are generous. Music is a bit too loud if you're looking for a quiet dinner for two. Service is great. I will go back but not too often as it's quite pricy.

I have been frequenting this Cubana for about two weeks now to use their wifi for business purposes and I am very impressed with the consistent great service and cleanliness of the venue. I have been to Cubanas countrywide and this one is unique. I was not allowed to take pictures of the menu, but I can swear by the great cocktail and shooters menu. The baskets of food could be bigger for the price you pay, but the chicken wings flavor made up for this. Again, I must mention the friendly service and cleanliness of the venue. When in Fourways, Johannesburg I strongly advise a visit.

The new Cubana is great fun. You need to take this spot for what it is, a drinking hole with good music, hubbly and public type food. If your in the mood for a bit of a razzle without going to a club, try it out. The owners spent some good money renovating this joint. The service was fantastic, our waitress sethu was on point and made us feel super special.

Nice new relocation of the Cubana restaurant with a bit of an Ed Hardy undertone in decor seen in the frosted glass. Furniture looks pretty much the same however the ambience has improved in terms of the Cuban cigar lounge aesthetics's.<br/ <br/ Service was exceptional as our waitress took care of our needs which is particularly uncommon nowadays across South Africa. Their menu is typical tapas and steaks which you can't go wrong accompanied by a fresh cold one or a bottle of red. Opted for the lamb chops which was a generous portion to cater for a typical red meat indulgence. <br/ <br/ On the whole it's a nice move upstairs for Cubana as it's more accessible and provides a nice choice amongst the other restaurants in front of Cedar.
