We went on an off time between lunch/dinner. The bartender was SOOO polite and welcoming. Gave a rundown on the menu as first timers, and even though we ordered to go, let my son grab a bag of popcorn to go as it is his second favorite food!Kid-friendliness: They were so sweet and accommodating to my little picky eater who loves bacon, hates ketchup, and only eats mayo on his burgers! His burger came out perfect!

Order at the counter, then served to your table. It's a sports bar vibe yet family friendly. Humpty dumpty burger hands down best burger ever. The loaded fries, soup, cheese curds, pulled pork, and Philly were all great, too. Oh, and mini donuts are worth the calories. Just wait to order them hot and fresh after your meal, unless you want dessert first!The owner, a Rochester native, greeted us, checked in on our meal, and thanked us for the business. It's nice to have that personal touch.Parking: Attached to the Soldiers Field golf club house with a large, free parking lot.Kid-friendliness: We ordered plain pulled pork for our 1-year-old that she LOVED.

Truthfully it really wasn't that amazing. The Buffalo chicken sandwich lacked any kind of hotness. The Hog whatever it is that is supposed to be spicy...well it simply wasn't. My daughter spit out her chicken strips so I tried them and well I see why.The services was eh' weird things like having to go to the bar to order when dinning in. You go get your food. But menus are at the tables.Really not that impressed with a 4.7 review I expected the best sandwich ever and truthfully Charlie's in the mall was better for a better price.

Was happily suprised! Real good food, good prices, drinks were great. Thought was just a golf course bar but I'll be back again!

Townies is a great place to get some awesome food. If you choose to try it, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be going back for more. Great cheese curds as well.
