The Bakehouse - Broadway

I stopped to have lunch with some friends on our motorcycles and ordered a burger with fries and a latte. The coffee was excellent, and the service was prompt and polite. The bill came to over £18, and while I can accept the 10% service charge that’s automatically added, I was taken aback to find an extra 50p charged for a small bowl of mayonnaise to go with my meal. The manager did his best to explain the reasoning behind this charge, but I still find it quite shocking. I would prefer to see an additional 50p added to the meal price instead of a "hidden" fee that catches you off guard. I should mention that this charge is noted somewhere on the menu, which I unfortunately overlooked.

The coffee is exquisite and the cake is absolutely delicious. The outdoor seating area at the back is a lovely spot to enjoy if the weather is nice. The coffee prices are on the higher side, though, with a mocha costing around £4.50.

The staff is fantastic, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is beautiful. As a local, this is one of my favorite places. The coffee and carrot cake are divine, and my kids absolutely love the brownies. It's a lovely environment as well!

Fabulous. Lovely setting. Beautifully presented. Clean. Very friendly staff. Food was to die for. Best burger ever tasted. Will definitely return when next in Broadway.

Loved this little cafe, beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The hot drinks were delicious and the service attentive.
