Seems to be a nice campground, pretty clean. I only gave it 4 stars because for women, there are only 3 bathroom stalls for the entire campground and only 2 shower stalls that require tokens. $1.00 gets 2 tokens, and each token gets you 3 minutes of water. We try not to use our bathroom if we can avoid it. All in all, enjoying our stay.
Great location. Quiet and laid back, peaceful escape with the coast nearby and day use area a walk down from campsite. The return walk uphill can be a few stops because of the grade/angle but very calming afterwards.
Beautiful place to take kids fish crab ? and have a BBQ along with a fire ? and it has a play set for the kids.
I use to live only 8 miles from Kayak Point, and during the summer. I moved, and they started charging for parking/visiting. I missed going to the beach there and recently returned. To my surprise, I was not charged to enter as I am handicapped. If you display your placard admission/parking is free. I am so happy to go back to the beach and possibly be able to see orcas, grey whales, and seals swimming by. Also you can see bald eagles fly above you.
