The food was incredibly delicious! You can't go wrong at Macmommy Woodknow. As for parking, it's a bit challenging in the Bronx, but I had a placard to help with that.

I paid $17 for spoiled fried shrimp and burnt rice with peas. I could clearly taste that the rice was burnt; instead of discarding it, they served it to customers. When the bottom of the rice is burnt, that smoky, charred flavor permeates the entire dish. What a waste!

Never Ever Again....even with their upgrades, Their Staff Sucks and They All Need Some Customer Service Training !!! Ask them a Question about any Food Items they Act Dumb ASF!!! Learn to Accommodate and Be Kind!!! Food actually apon taste today was... Mediocre!! Excuse my previous review which was so bad they deleted it....not a 4 Star Jamaican Restaurant at all any longer..... Golden Star is now Coal and Tar...2 Star if I can give it that!!! SMDH

Love the new look. The food is delicious as always. Oh my the Henny coloda is addictive just the way I like it. Nice and strong baby. I did get to experience coming in at closing that the food is definitely made fresh everyday and that is a plus, plus iny book. Nice lounge area with great music.

The food was incredibly tasty, and the portions were generous for a great price. I also loved the R&B music playing in the background. However, the service could use some improvement, as there was a long wait to be served even though there were plenty of staff behind the counter. Implementing a better system could help speed things up for customers. Overall, I really enjoyed the food! I would give it a perfect score of 10/10.
