When the bill came, they forgot to remove the burger charge, which wasn’t a big issue since they took it back to adjust. This is where things took a bizarre turn: the “corrected bill” showed that they only removed 75% of the burger’s cost. When I asked for them to remove the full price since I hadn’t eaten it and it wasn’t cooked properly, they raised the price of my drink by 25%. I was baffled. When I questioned why they would hike the price of other items on my check to offset their $5.00 loss on a $20.00 burger, Mike, who identified himself as the “owner/manager,” insisted I had been charged incorrectly for my drink. He also firmly stated that there was nothing wrong with the burger. However, if you order a burger medium and receive one that is hard, dry, and charred, there’s definitely a problem with the meal. At this point, other diners started to speak up, revealing they had been charged the same amount for their drinks as my original bill before the increase. It felt suspicious. As a seasoned traveler who dines in various restaurants, I have never encountered such blatant dishonesty, especially from an establishment affiliated with a major hotel chain. My advice to anyone considering Avere Ristorante – Sheraton Brooklyn is to take photos of your bill BEFORE paying or asking questions, and document your meal, especially if it’s not right. Due to this experience, I will NEVER eat at Avere Ristorante and I will also NEVER stay at the Sheraton Brooklyn during any future trips to Brooklyn, whether for work or leisure.

Got take out and it was very good, however was charged $10 for an additional side! The meal beat the sticker shock on the bill.

Good food, service, music, good place.I recomend it.

Food was very tasty for a hotel restaurant. Having spaghetti and meat balls and the Mt. Edna dishes.Beverages were good.Service was uninspired and the night we dined the atmosphere was kinda dead.

We came to Avere thinking it’s a nice place to eat from the pictures. My husband ordered the Penne pasta on the menu. It was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! The sauce tasted as if it was made from can tomatoes sauce and water. Do NOT order the pastas from here!!! Go anywhere else!!!!
