Barano - Brooklyn

Barano is a great place. I first came to Barano when I was 9 months pregnant for a night out with my husband I loved the food.

More of a 3.5This was my second time at Barano and again I am unimpressed with the serviceThe food is greatService is mediocre at BEST.

The first time I tried Barano was with a friend who is sensitive to gluten so we searched for restaurants with gluten free options.

Ate here w our kids and had a nice meal. Kids had a buffet designed for them which worked out great and. Ore higher end restaurants should heed this call. $15 each but included lots of choices which kids love as well as deserts and a drink. I had the swordfish which was a bit overdone and a bit tasteless. My wife had the filet which was served over a tomatoe based medley of zucchini and squash which really didn't go with it very well. Read reviews and told side of Russell sprouts was roasted but they arrived steamed and again tasteless. All in the best part of the meal was our excellent waiter. Ate at pacific grille the night before and that meal was a lot tastier.
