I?ve been meaning to try out Bar Bête for a while now and I?m so happy I finally made a reservation to go! It?s definitely important to order everything in the beginning so try to take a look at the menu beforehand. Between 2 people, we got 5 of thesmaller dishes (we didn?t get one of the larger protein dishes) and I think we would?ve been better with 4! The duck fatpotatoes were heavenly!! Something I appreciate so much about this place is that they are not shy in serving their dishes withsauce. The garlic aoili for the potatoes came in the same size bowl! And the drinks were also great and flavorful. Can?t wait togo back!
Cute restaurant with great service. We sat outside so I can’t speak to the inside but the outdoor seating was very spacious and our server was very kind and attentive.The food was good, we got the feta, the potatoes, the oysters, the haricot vert, and the gnocchi, and the cake. I personally loved the potato’s the garlic dip it comes with is worth it alone, the haricot vert was also good and the oysters (not sure worth the price) the feta fell a little short to me, expected a little more from the flavor, but good nonetheless, and finally the cake was 1. Extremely large definitely a sharing size for a group 2. Had mixed reviews from the group, some felt the cake wasn’t moist enough and too crumbly and too sweet, I personally enjoyed it, the chocolate with the sea salt I liked and the cake was decent but definitely think you only need 2 3 bites before it becomes overwhelming. Overall recommend trying out!
Really delicious food, with indoor and outdoor dining.Grab the tuna toast, it's delish!
•Island Creek Oysters Served with chili oil and Meyer lemon mignonette, do yourself a favor and start off your meal here with a few of these.•Tuna Toast This tower of fresh tuna with fermented chilis and garlic chive spread rests upon perfectly crunchy toast.This is a must!•Duck Far Potatoes Gorgeously greasy potatoes with a vat of garlic aioli that is almost the size of the bowl of potatoes themselves.•Leek Vinaigrette The ideal format of a salad scattered with delicious hazelnuts and golden raisins and absolutely covered in shaved parmesan.•Stuffed Pasta While I wouldn't say pasta is their specialty, this is a great dish with ricotta, pine nuts, kale, and serrano chill.•Charcoal Grilled Swordfish I am still thinking about the saffron hollandaise on this dish. So good.
