Chikurin - Brooklyn

The food at this restaurant is of high quality, but it is on the more expensive side. However, the delivery service is slow. I don't mind waiting as long as I am given an accurate estimate. I was disappointed when I was told that my order had been sent out and would only take a few minutes, only to have it arrive much later. It would have been better if they had been honest about the wait time from the beginning.

Food was is very delicious. Fresh as always. Salads too. Recommended!

Very nice tempura. I ordered 4 rolls of shrimp tempura and they were neatly packaged into one container. Not mashed, neatly packed. Made it easy to get my sushi without it falling apart, very nice.

I love the sushi at this restaurant. I usually get takeout, but it's also my usual spot to dine in. It's conveniently located nearby, and even though the wait time for takeout can be 15-20 minutes, if you walk in there's usually seating available without much of a wait. Street parking is available, though it can sometimes be a bit tricky to find a spot.

Service is amazing and their food is great! I heard about this place through a friend and decided to give it a go since I needed a katsu fix and it’s hard finding a place in Brooklyn that makes good katsu. To my surprise it was actually pretty good. There was a decent amount of meat (not too thin like other restaurants) and layer of breading. Although I found it to be quite dry alone, they provide sauce for you to dip in. The sauce tasted like ketchup? I’m not a huge fan of the sauce and I would prefer if they offered other options with their katsu like curry but it satisfied me till my next trip ??
