There is nothing else like this and I know when I want a night at a restaurant that is relaxing, inspiring, and delicious with best- possible-vibes ambiance, this is the place to be. These people are experts at designing a menu so go for any night you can get a
Lovely decor, but the food… not so much. The “entree” in the prix fixe dinner was six death-gray, dirty looking clam shells, sticking upright in a cesspool of gray dish-watery phlegm. (Maybe polenta in a previous lifetime). The clams were rubbery and tastless. Only the six green beans in this little bowl of yuck were edible. Even if I had eaten this entire disaster of an “entree”, I would have still been hungry after. The appetizer before that was mushy ricotta hiding in embarrassment beneath slices of bland limp prosciutto. Not awful, but a kindergartener could have thrown that together. Before that was a little plate of sun chokes, the only thing that was okay. Also we signed up for the communal table, expecting to be seated amongst a large group at the long table inside. Instead, we were put on the chilly porch at a small four-top, with just one other couple we've never met. They were nice enough, but being forced into a blind double-date is not a communal table experience. Overall a real disappointment of a dinner, shockingly so, maybe the chef was out sick and the dishwashers tried to fill in. Finally it was weird bad vibes when we arrived: we got there at 8:55pm for a 9pm reservation, and the restaurant was locked and empty because the staff was eating inside. They waved us off when we tried to open the door, as if we were interrupting them. Ungracious, and a very unwelcoming start, we should have just run away there and then.
If you have any food allergies or restrictions I would avoid this restaurant. I came here for my Birthday Brunch. I made reservations online and added my gluten allergy (I have celiac disease). After not hearing back on my reservation I reached out via Instagram about the reservation and followed up on my gluten allergy. They replied in a passive aggressive form and assured gluten free meal would be available. The reservation was for 2 PM which makes no sense since their brunch ends at 2 PM. When the food was served I mentioned about my allergy since the menu included waffles. The waiter came back saying I need to give them a 24 hour noticed and then followed up by bring me a plate contaminated with gluten. I had given a Two week noticed about my allergy and when i followed up I was treated with hostility and when I let them know the chef simply just gave me a plate with the very ingredient I could not eat. During brunch celebrations we asked for a bottle of wine and the waiter continued by saying kitchen was close (basically kicking us out because they had a reservation option at the same time kitchen closes). My opinion just another gentrification hippie place that does not know what it takes to run a restaurant. Avoid at all cost.
My mouth was so happy!!! The squash dish was absolutely perfect. Never ever have I tasted such yumminess...Bravo Dinner Party!! Definitely did not dissapoint.
This place...was something else.I've never found food at a restaurant to be so severely overseasoned as what I tasted here. The appetizer was decent, but the entrees and dessert were incredibly pungent and their flavors were one-toned, in the worst way possible. My friend threw up in the bathroom after eating the lamb drenched in cinammon. However, I'm thankful for the friendliness of the waiters and warm atmosphere. I paid $130 to eat here; please save your money and go somewhere else.
