3 stars is quite generous for any Chinese restaurant in Brooklyn; I really don't think any place deserves more. I ordered the sesame chicken along with a side of chicken wings. For those familiar with the pre-COVID Chinese takeout scene, you'll know that the breaded chicken dishes are typically about 10% chicken and 90% breading, often made with old meat. To mask that, they tend to over-fry it, and the sauce usually lacks flavor since it's often past its prime. Unfortunately, this place is no exception. However, I will say their chicken wings are a good size, which is a refreshing change since many Chinese spots have reduced their wing sizes to be about as small as my pinky finger. As long as the wings stay this size, I might return, but I’ll be skipping the sesame chicken and continuing my search for better options. I don’t see the point in ordering sesame chicken when I could get sweet and sour pork instead, which is infinitely better!
This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area, offering delicious food at great prices! The woman at the counter is always very kind and friendly.
