I have visited Wakuwaku in Industry City three times now. The first two visits were disappointing due to poor service, but on my most recent visit, the food, service, and atmosphere were all improved. While it may not be as good as Yokocho Village, Wakuwaku satisfied my cravings with delicious dishes like deep fried tempura corn with matcha salt, flavorful skewers, and tender Saba Mackerel. The potato salad had a surprising wasabi kick, which may not be for everyone but was enjoyed by my dining partner. The Okairi Old Fashioned drink was exceptional, thanks to the skilled bartender. A tip for those ordering fried or greasy foods: balance out the flavors with a cup of green tea. Overall, Wakuwaku has redeemed itself and is worth a visit.
The yakitori at this restaurant is good, and the service is quick. However, the grilling could be improved in some areas, as the bacon wrapped enoki was a bit soggy. The udon was tasty though.
I love this place!! I am not sure why the ratings are a little low but everything is really tasty! The food here was on small plates but they were YUMMY! Sashimi was fresh, fried chickens were juicy and steamy, and the short rib special was tender and delicious. Our server was very friendly as well. We also had happy hour beer which was only 6$ for draft. Great deal! We will come back.
Great small place, a bit off the beaten path (within IC). Food is great, albeit a bit pricey and it came out very fast. Staff is super helpful. Happy hour is pretty good. If you had to get one thing, the Tuna bowl is incredibleKid-friendliness: Have a few high chairs
