Chico's however was a pleasant surprise. The menu is a bit tamed down to appease the non-Hispanic population but the green chili still packed a respectable punch of tangy, mouthwatering flavor. The Goofy taco is much try..... don't worry... no Disney characters were harmed in its making.
I'm not going to get into the debate about who has the "best green chili" because, let's face it, this is Colorado and everyone has their own opinion (and don't even get me started on the Colorado vs New Mexico rivalry). That said, this family-owned spot serves fantastic and affordable Mexican food. Chico has mentioned that he prefers not to increase his prices, as he wants people to enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank, which is especially important these days. I always go for the enchilada plate with a mix of hot and mild chili (and let me tell you, the hot is really hot). It's cash only, but there's an ATM available inside.
Fantastic, as always! The hot green chili is perfect for adding a warm touch on a chilly evening.
They're right they have some damn good green chili and some really good prices on their food Good old fashioned mom and pop restaurant
Food is decent for the price. Nothing to write home about, but good, solid tex-mex food. Cash only, so make sure you have some on hand.
