La Scala - Brownsville

One of my top choices for dining and my new go-to pizza spot is this restaurant. The cheeseburger pizza was surprisingly delicious. I have tried gimmick pizzas in the past, but this one was different. The perfect balance of pickle and cheese enhanced the flavors. It even came with a side of fries. We also tried the carnitas pizza, which was equally satisfying. The crust was crispy and doughy, just how I like it. The wings were flavorful, crispy, meaty, and juicy. The empanadas were also tasty. The water was refreshing, the service was good, and the food was served promptly. I will definitely be returning soon.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I was blown away by the amazing food. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The wings were delicious, and the breadsticks, which came as a pair with each dish, were great. The chicken alfredo was also perfect. The service was average, with the waiter only checking on us once when we had to flag them down for the check. Despite that, I would eat here every day if I could because the food is so delicious.

Awful service! The waitresses had such negative attitudes. We had a reservation for a birthday celebration today. They refused to give us plates for the cake, which is understandable. But napkins! They wouldn't even give us napkins! At first, they claimed that they had informed the person who made the reservation that they don't provide any utensils, which was a blatant lie. Then they mentioned that "the owner says he doesn't benefit from doing that." And to top it off, they rudely told my grandmother, "if you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." We were completely shocked! We've been coming here for years to celebrate every family member's birthday. But after this experience, we will definitely not be returning. Their response left us very disappointed.

They refused to provide us with a cake platter or even serviettes. The waiter claimed that they were not informed by the person who made the reservation, which was a lie. They then made excuses saying that the owner does not benefit from providing these things. To top it off, they rudely told my grandmother to go somewhere else if she didn't like it. We have been loyal customers for years, celebrating the birthdays of every family member, but we will not be returning after this disappointing experience.

The customer service was very good at this restaurant. I hosted a birthday dinner for my mother and myself, and everything was going smoothly until we requested napkins and plates for the cake. They refused to provide them to us even though we had paid for their services as a large group. We were frustrated when they explained that the owner did not want to give us free plates and napkins. I can understand the plates, but napkins? The owners and server also told my grandmother that if she didn't like it, she could leave. Despite this, we did not let it ruin our evening and made do with what we had. However, the experience was disappointing and none of us will be returning. It seems the owner got what they wanted.
