(Translated by Google In Bruges, you can eat the best salads (with goat cheese, salmon, etc.) and other small dishes. The reception and service are always excellent. In good weather you can also sit on the comfortable terrace in the middle of the Zilverpand. 100% top! The new name of the restaurant is Matin Midi! We were thankful that this restaurant was open as we arrived in Brugge too late for the Market and struggled to find a place to eat with most places closing their kitchens around 2 or 2:30pm. We were relieved to see a sign in this restaurant stating that the kitchen was still open. The restaurant was spacious with a large dining area on the 2nd floor and plenty of outdoor seating. We could also see the spire and hear the bells from Saint Salvatore Cathedral. The menu had several vegetarian options, including hot pasta and salads. I ordered a hot lemon with honey for €5.70, which was freshly squeezed and comforting on a cold afternoon. My companion found it too tart, but I enjoyed it. For our main dishes, we shared a fish stew and an apple ice cream crepe. The fish stew was amazing, with layers of salmon and cod in a delicious tomato and wine broth, topped with herbs and cheese. The dish was so good that we finished it before our third companion could even try it. The apple ice cream crepe was simply perfect and delicious. I also sampled the vegetarian pasta, which was creamy and flavorful, and the cheese and prosciutto pasta, which was tasty but the prosciutto was a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, this restaurant may be touristy, but it was a hit for all four of us with great food and friendly service.
