But what I mostly enjoy at La Veranda is the feeling of being outside, among the trees. Be sure to reserve your brunch well in advance, so that you can be seated near the huge windows.Otherwise, the food is also noteworthy, varied and delicious, something for every taste. Don't miss the seafood and the salads. The live music is also quite pleasant, sometimes a little loud.Special mention for the waiters, especially Corina Duma, the manager. They really seem to care and do their best to make you feel pampered.
They make the things right. Excellent service and value. This was the first time in Bucharest and we wanted to have a good dinner. Fully recommend it
Ashlie Dias, the Head Chef of the Restaurant 'La Veranda' is not only an very talented cook who loves what he is doing, but he also knows exactly what makes an excellent Sunday Brunch. High product quality, freshness and a preparation that respects the product seem to be most important to him. With some friends we went to the 'Veranda' for the Easter Brunch and once again, we were not disappointed. With his White Brigade, Ashlie had prepared a stunning Buffet: Cold and hot appetizers including Smoked and Marinated Salmon and a large variety of Cold Cuts; an impressive Fish and Sea Food section including Lobster, King Prawns, Several slow cooked Meat Dishes and a Carving Station serving cooked ham on the bone. The variety of vegetables was as impressive as was the Cheese Buffet and the Desert Buffet was simply an Gourmet Attack on everybody's Silhouette. The German Sparkling Wine was good and served without any limit. So if you like Sunday Brunches "La Veranda" is certainly a good choice, especially during the summer when the Restaurant's large windows are folded away, which will gives you the impression to sit in the beautiful garden that surrounds the Hotel. If you book early enough, you might even have the chance to catch a table in the well maintained lawn.I can also recommend Ashlie's cooking for any other occasion. On some evening he also gives cooking lessons. If your free you should attend. Its fun and you will spend a great evening.
Most of the time, unless one stays at a 5 star hotel (and this is not always guarantee), the hotel restaurant is not good, and the value for the money relation is not good. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 5 weeks in a business trip, so I ate a LOT in this restaurant. Busy days, when I just wanted to relax I just order room service, the tuna tartare very good!!!4 or 5 times my colleagues and I dine at the restaurant, all we ordered was good. Nice wine selection, and a well varied menu, as well as very good service. I like it a lot, it made a good option (in both quality and price) for my daily dinner. The breakfast buffet is well varied too.
Been there again, like many, many times...always stylish, always fresh, cozy in the same time...the royal taste of food pampers my senses, as always!!! I wish to have time to eat at La Veranda daily,if possible...
