Zen Garden Delivery - Bucharest

One of the best Chinese restaurants in Bucharest. The food is perfectly done and adapted to European tastes. Eventhough it may not be like the real Chinese food in China, some of their dishes do remind of it. It is a higher than average prices restaurant by a significant margin, but it 's not very expensive either. I recommend this place especially for a romantic dinner.

Food is nice and service fast (although to be fair we went quite late and there weren’t busy). The decor could need some improvement as it’s currently a bit cold (large white walls and ceilings contrasting with black floors and black tablecloths). With all this said it’s still the nicest Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Bucharest. They have a nice large terrace/garden which I can only assume is amazing during summer evenings and that is why I’ll have to go again for sure.

Bad service. I tell the waitress I can't stand the cigarette smoke she doesn't let me sit where I want though plenty of tables available. She sits me next to the only smoker. I didn't stay to see how long it would take her to take my order.

The restaurant closes at 21. We called at 19:00 to book a table and we heard them asking the cooks if they are still making food ??? . We got there at 19:30 as per the booking, only to be welcomed by a waitress with no desire to work, and who told us bluntly that basically 80% of the menu no exaggeration was unavaliable. No duck, no veeal, no most of the things. She was even reluctant to take an order for pork ribs because it takes too much time . In the end, after ordering she came back to tell us that they also had no tomato soup...who doesn 't have TOMATOES? At that point we left. And will never come back. Horrible service and 0 desire to work. The restaurant was almost empty and apparwntly they were hoping to leave early. Something tells me this occurs often and the owners dont care about their staff cheating on working hours and behaving horribly with cuatomers.
