They noticed I was eating slowly and wincing and offered to make me ginger tea, which they did and it was soothing. On our way out, they also offered to bring more tea to our hotel! Go for delicious food and stay because the people are remarkably wonderful and kind-hearted.
Our flight was a late arrival on a Sunday evening and this was the only place close by that was open. I felt that the food was not freshly cooked, the vegetables and prawns I had seemed more like pre cooked and warmed in a microwave and my wifes dish was salty rather than spicy. I may be picky where my daughter in law is from Vietnam so I do know what authentic Vietnamese food should taste like.
We all need a night off the steak once in a while, but I'd suggest going elsewhere if it's Asian spice and ambiance you're after. Our food was pretty average, with some dishes quite tasty, but others over cooked and lacking in flavour. Above all though, the restaurant was completely lacking in atmosphere (and customers); never a good sign on a Saturday night.
Nice SE Asian atmosphere, music, lighting, music, and very nice people running the restaurant, right in the heart of Palermo. I was a bit disappointed at the prices though -- $24 USD for a relatively small entree and a domestic AR beer -- not inc. tip. Entrees are 250 AR pesos and up...seems like a lot for the size of the portions. And the "cubierto" cover is 40 pesos / person. Ridiculous. Good place if you really want a break from meat and don't mind paying a little extra.
Really disappointing given the reviews I had read. Food was average, service verged on rude. Atmosphere and decor are nice, one waitress was friendly, the others seemed frustrated at our lack of Spanish.
