Red Chilli Thai Bargara - Bundaberg

After a week of lackluster meals during our stay in Bargara, my husband and I decided to try this restaurant for dinner. Honestly, we didn't have high expectations since we had heard it was pricey and somewhat disappointing. We opted for simple dishes: a beef massaman and a chicken panang curry, both accompanied by coconut rice. We were pleasantly surprised! The curries arrived quickly and with friendly service, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. The portions were so generous that we left with a couple of doggy bags. Along with two appetizers and enough drinks to keep us happy, our total was $86 for two people, which felt worth every penny.

Excellent food, really nice owners. Green curry is really spectacular. Lunch special is great value.

I never eat Thai but my wife convinced me she would find me something I would like and that she did. Special Fried Rice and Vegetarian Spring Rolls YUM!

I ordered takeaway from this restaurant and the food was quite good. However, we specifically requested mild dishes, and they ended up being spicier than expected. We've enjoyed Thai food many times, and this wasn't really mild at all. The customer service was average—nothing to write home about. That said, if you enjoy Thai food with a bit of kick, I would still recommend trying it out.

I finally decided to sign up just to share my experience! We were pleasantly surprised to discover such excellent Thai cuisine in this area. We tried the Jungle Curry (chicken) and Mussaman (beef), and both dishes were delightful and spicy enough to satisfy our love for heat. We can’t wait to visit again someday!
