Mccalister’s Deli - Burlington

McAlister's Deli was absolutely fantastic! I've visited three times in just two weeks because it's that good. The food is the best I've had in a long time, featuring a menu that's both unique and exciting. While they offer some classic sandwiches, many of them have creative twists on the originals. Overall, it's a wonderful dining experience, and I highly recommend stopping by if you ever find yourself in Burlington.

Have been to other McAllister before, so knew what I was getting into when this opened a couple years ago. After the first few months of opening to work out the kinks (service, etc), this location has settled down to become a reliable place to go for good soups, sandwiches, and baked potatoes. It tends to be a bit pricy, but the quality of the food is apparent. Both the tea and lemonade are authentic and very good. We eat here occasionally if we are in the mood for a deli-type meal.

They have great deli sandwiches, classic and specially made. They also have spud potatoes, salad, and chili nachos. I usually do takeout, but haven't been disappointed yet! Low calorie included.

We were really disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. My husband ordered a sandwich and specifically requested no black olives. Unfortunately, when his sandwich arrived, it was piled high with them. He informed a staff member, who merely apologized and said she would let the kitchen know. Additionally, I found my sandwich to be overpriced. Based on this experience, we won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place to others. However, I will say that the tea was quite good.

The prices are quite high for a restaurant where the staff seems visibly unhappy. I attempted to place a pick-up order, but the online deal wasn't functioning correctly. I understand that these things happen, but it would have been nice if it had worked, as it left me feeling uncomfortable waiting inside for my food. The staff seemed annoyed that anyone would actually come inside, which might explain the empty lobby. The food was decent, but I doubt I'll return. It's disappointing.
