Le Carlotta - Caen

We were disappointed by le carlotta. eating was reasonable, although I would suggest avoiding the steactar that is very dirty. we were particularly irritated when we found the extra 2 glasses wein at the end, as much as the bottle we bought originally for the meal. I know it is an obvious opportunity to add money/winning to the bill, but a good restaurant should compensate an additional glass with the cost of the remaining meal. the 2 extra glasses were 25% of the entire meal!

Visited here lately and while food was good the situation that developed after waiter tripped and spilt starter over our shoes trousers and jacket.Manager took my coat and washed runny starter off but was not concerned about where else it had gone . We thought...that at least a glass of wine or reduction in bill would be offered but nothing was. Waiter even accepted a tip. Overall the worst way to deal with a incident in a restaurant that we ever met.

Very nice French Dinner, best deserts of this week and perfect fish and a Shepard’s pie in French interpretations

Nice restaurant close by the harbour of Caen. Friendly service. The menue is awesome and you can find great stuff.

Wandered in on a random basis, staff were helpful and attentive and spoke English which was a great help, food was very good, i had Steak Tartar which was stunning, one friend had Entrecote that was excellent and the other two had prawns that were...superb. A great find
