It is a nice, quirky little place that makes big desserts (the portion sizes are mega! and is well run. On the last visit I tried Bingsu (Korea shaved ice cream... dessert embroidered with fruit, red beans and ice.
Went in, ordered an iced long black with a dash of milk. Didn't have to wait long. Very nice cafe. They got my order wrong. didn't realise take it outside only to burn my hand. Took it back in. They happily replace my drink....Coffee wasn't even that good.
We decided to visit this restaurant after seeing it online and being impressed by its appearance. However, upon arrival, we were taken aback by its messy and scruffy look. Despite this, we placed our order and noticed that some of the seat covers were dirty. I ordered chocolate waffles with a vanilla frappe, while my partner ordered waffles with frozen yogurt and a lemonade. The food was decent but not as good as it appeared, and it was disappointing to see that they used canned whipped cream instead of fresh. My partner also found a hair or fiber in her food, and her lemonade was too sour to drink. Overall, we were not satisfied with the desserts and the bill came out to just under $50, so we don't plan on returning to this restaurant.
There is no better way to beat the heat on a hot day than treating yourself to some delicious Bingsu! Whether it's the rice cake bingsu, coffee bingsu, or matcha bingsu, they are all incredibly tasty. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant next time we are in Cairns!
I had the Nutella waffle and I've never been more satisfied, I felt like I had died and went to heaven.
