The four of us are fully vaccinated and prepared to show our documentation to them as required for indoor dining. I did sign in as requested but the person in charge of checking our document didn’t look. In fact said people can fake them and he didn’t have his glasses so couldn’t see them anyway. Totally not impressed with attitude. It also appeared later that the restaurant was at full capacity. We counted 40 people including wait staff in the small restaurant and all but one table full and they set up an extra table for more guests. We felt it was at capacity as if no covid issues were taken into consideration. We arrived at 5:40 (only time we could get) and did not get our bill until 8:45 after reminding them a few times. We had no dessert or coffee. Service was extremely slow. Food was fine but not up to their usual standard we felt. The staff were pleasant otherwise. Not sure if we will go again. If they skipped Covid protocol what else do them deem as not necessary?
Such a beautiful setting and very good food! We keep going there! The lunch under the tent is perfect . The service is excellent!
I was excited to find the perfect place to have a special mother/daughter birthday luncheon. The Consulate Dining Lounge was highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. The servers we all very attentive and knowledgeable and my daughter and I shared delicious wine and food (my daughter had the salmon and I had the penne ambassador.... YUM). I felt special, right down to the complementary cheesecake Diana brought to celebrate my birthday! The environment was relaxing and picturesque; would definitely go again.
We booked here to celebrate our girls night out . The guys went to the Riverside Grill and had a much better evening. Diana was our server. She took our drink orders and then disappeared. Sadly, we did tell her we were planning to enjoy a relaxing dinner just being completely ignored wasn 't what we had in mind. I ordered the cobb salad and in all my life, never received anything that looked like what was served. The plate had a handful of large pieces of some kind of green lettuce some corn ??, a couple of small tomatoes cut in half and a drizzle of dressing around the outside. There is NO way they should call that a cobb salad do not recommend ordering this if you visit. Nothing served resembled the photo on the menu. From the outside, the place looks beautiful but don 't be fooled, that 's where it ends.
My husband and I recently had a lovely dinner at the consulate (Royal Ambassador) and it was a very nice meal not to mention the service was friendly and the food was great! We were lucky to hear some live music on the piano during our dinner. The staff were very attentive when filling our water glasses and we never had to wait for anything. Asked for extra bread and it came vert quickly.
