This restaurant in Calgary serves the best Chinese cuisine! The dishes are so delicious that I can't imagine eating Ginger Beef or Sweet and Sour Chicken from anywhere else in the city. My sister introduced me to this place 20 years ago and we continue to return because the food is always top-notch and high quality.
I have been a loyal customer of Golden Leaf for over 20 years and I am always impressed by their delicious homemade Chinese food. Unlike many other Chinese restaurants in Calgary that use frozen ingredients, Golden Leaf prepares all their dishes from scratch. Their ginger beef is a standout dish and I challenge you to find a better version in the city. The sweet and sour chicken is also a must-try, with a unique brown sauce that sets it apart from the usual red sauce served elsewhere. While I personally am not a fan of their Cantonese chow mein, I recognize that the owners' regional influences may differ from my preferences. The only downside is that Golden Leaf is take-out only, but the quality of the food makes it worth the trip, even if you live far from the restaurant.
I've been going here a while now. Food is consistent and the prices are good. There pick up time is super quick and the staff are always pleasant. Before I moved I ordered delivery with the girlfriend and they have a very nice older gentleman delivering. He is quick and is always really nice to my girlfriend. I originally was introduced to this place because they cater to nut allergies which a member of my family has. All in all a good choice for a quick meal with leftovers for lunch. Keep up the good work, I'll be back again and again.
Ordinary but consistant. I've tried to shake up my order at Golden Leaf, and each time I order something different; I regret it.When I stick with my regular order (won ton soup, ginger beef, gai ding, spring rolls, sweet sour chicken) I'm happy. Though the rice is terrible... Ordering is ok on the phone if you use the numbers on the menu, and their service for pick-up is quick. I've never waited too long, and it seems despite being a small place, they have a lot of people working in the kitchen.
