While there may not be any seating available, it's definitely worth stopping by for a delicious homemade sausage on a bun. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly.
Gordon runs a food cart stationed outside Bankers Hall on Stephen Avenue during lunch hours. He is popular for his fresh and tasty sausages, and customers appreciate his friendly demeanor.
Gordon is a very friendly guy who knows how to cook an awesome sausage. Very quality food, making it a great lunch option. You must try it! Also, they are healthy and flavourful. Plus he is an award winning food vendor! Thanks Gordon!
We were hungry and enjoying the pedestrian mall in downtown when we caught the aroma of delicious grilled meat and followed it to Gordons Homemade sausages....delicious! He makes these sausages from scratch and they are fresh, beautifully seasoned, and virtually fat free! Healthy fare! We were impressed with the selection (hot Italian, bratwurst, Katmandu curry, and longanisa.)! They are served on a very soft fresh bun. A bit large for some appetites, but a great deal at $ 8.00 that includes all kind of seasonings (sauerkraut, grilled onions, chipotle ketsup, dijom mustard, etc.) WOW. We recommend that you look for his location, in front of Bankers Hall! It is a gourmet find in downtown Calgary at lunch time! (And Gordy is a charmer.)
If you're hungry and tired of the same old "smoky on a bun," give Gord a try. His sausages are truly homemade and come in a variety of flavours and compositions. His hot Italian seems to be a real crowd favourite. Interesting to note that he also offers up his own homemade condiments which add to the uniqueness of his products. Don't confuse these sausages with commercially available sausages...these things are a meal in themselves and are served up on fresh locally produced and delivered daily baguettes. I have been visiting his spot down in front of Bankers Hall for many years, every time I come out to Calgary on my motorcycle (from Winnipeg.) Try one, you'll love it!
