The expansion says a lot as well, business is thriving because people like it, I for one eats at kinjo at least 3x a month by myself not counting when im with friends...sashimi, mango roll, octopus legs, plum wine and their wagyu beef is a hit!
We've been to the Kinjo on MacLeod Trail several times and it was great. Our experience here was as indicated, "okay."We enjoyed the friendly service, the the portion sizes were much smaller then our past experiences at the original Kinjo's.The tempura beans were very greasy, the wasabi was only mild.Don't feel we'll go back.
This is our favourite spot to go with our kids for Japanese. The staff is always amazing and I love the smaller sized plates so that you can order a little bit of everything. Service is almost always above and beyond what one could hope for.
My family and I went here for dinner one evening, and while there isn't anything specific I can say that was actually "wrong" with Kinjo, I can say that the sushi was mediocre. I have had some good sushi, and this was nothing to write home about. I found that the menu was boring and didn't really have much to offer. That being said, a lot of the rolls didn't have a description of what was in them, so it was hard to pick something that might have otherwise been out of the norm. The one roll I did enjoy, was the mango roll. I would likely try another place before going to Kinjo again.
This was a a great meal with some of the best sushi we've had. The salmon was buttery smooth and the wagyu beef was amazing!!! Don't miss this place if your near by!
