Contribuisci feedbackHere sat on a Saturday night and it was extremely quiet, maybe 3 more families in the restaurant. You have a bread bar that is absolutely amazing! The menu says it costs $3 with a main course, but the staff told us it was free. Either I think it's worth the experience. They had all kinds of bread and spread with a small toasting station to stand and chat while waiting for bread. Service was excellent and the food was also good. I had the pene with duck and goat cheese and it was amazing if you like rich flavors.
Nice dinner. Wife and I had drinks at the bar before I sat for dinner. She had some gin and tonic and I had shocked beers. Their gin and tonic were $7 (which they asked the price in advance), so I thought my beers were the same. Boy, I was wrong! $13 per beer! Now I'm not a cheaper one, but $13!!! What's going on? Bottom line, food was good, service was good, value for money, stay away.
Laura was the server for our group of 24 birthdays. They improved our experience with food suggestions that would work well in a group situation. I chose some appies and some pizzas cut into smaller pieces. I was impressed by their non-meat options, as some of the participants do not eat meat. The pizza was what I would expect from a traditional Italian style pizzeria. The crust was not sponge or teig, more like a thin crust or something more. What makes it more authentic is that you can taste the flavors... the simple elements as you are in Italy. The room was not closed, but it felt intimate. We felt comfortable to mix and celebrate. Laura kept all drinks full, alcohol, juice or pop. She did a great job in distributing the foods and generously cut the cake. Laura, her manager and the rest of the staff made this special occasion effortless and tasty. She even took our picture. I work in the service sector, and I wanted to see a standard I would seek.
I've often eaten at Pacini because I'm staying at Holiday Inn South. Food is very good and service is always good. Tonight, Laura (red head Laura) offers an excellent service that made my dinner very pleasant. Thanks Laura and look forward to the return.
The best restaurant in Calgary, very good service, they were so accommodating to our big group seating requirements ?, the chef is brilliant, I ordered the crusted cod and I was so specific on the amount of sauce. The chef prepared it exactly as wanted besides, the spaghetti was cooked with little oil and not as many restaurants who add lots of butter to boost the taste. These guys are certainly are preparing the best food in the city.
