It started with the Onion loaf (a pile of connected onion rings) which was quite large and very tasty. Each of us ordered a different meal and they all had good sized portions. I especially like their ribs. The meals are pretty good and are not over-priced.
My wife and I had a date night at Tony Roma's on a Friday. We made a reservation and the lady at the counter was not able to find it but fortunately we were seated promptly. We had an onion bloom and drink for starter (we ordered a full size but received and were charged for a half size.) As for the entree, a noteworthy mention at time to visit was their $34 rib and lobster platter. While the ribs are typical, the lobster tail was larger than I expected to receive for the price. My wife ordered a burger and it was nicely loaded with a generous serving of fries. For dessert we had a red velvet cake and it topped off our meal nicely. Service was good, albeit it seemed a bit slower that evening. Our meal of appetizer, one drink, two entrees and dessert came to $83 with gratuity. Although you can get a cheaper meal elsewhere, for a nicer night out we felt it was good value for a restaurant chain, the meal was good portioned (wife had leftovers) and service was slightly above standard. Please indicate if you found this review to be helpful so I know where to focus my future efforts accordingly!
We went on a Saturday night with our kids. The wait wasn't bad being it was prime time for supper. Our waitress was really nice but didn't find service to be great.Food was only average. Good amount of choices on both regular menu and kids menu. Did find the kids ribs to be on the spicy side for them and both girls said they were too hot and didn't eat them. Husband had ribs too, they were by no means fall off the bone tender which would be expected from a place that specializes in ribs! I had the onion loaf for an appy and it's deceiving as it is actually just a pile of onion rings stuck together, I didn't enjoy it and thought it would be a type of bread with onion in it but not the case at all.Our food was only average, the only thing that was great was the raspberry margarita I had. I doubt that we will return.
There seems to be nothing quality about this restaurant, it is almost red robin quality ingredients, this is a place where you go just if your starving and there's nothing else there ... I would never go again , the hype was so disappointing, it has a manufactured Italian theme to it but can't seem to pull of authenticity in its flavour or style.
It was nearly a year we had not met with Jay and Janice and Ilene were looking forward to a quiet vibrant place to catch up on everything that's been happening since we last met. we found that Jay had already found a table and we were ushered in to find it warm comforting and ideal place to have that dinner. liked it. very family ambience and has pleasant servers and very attentive. we tried the fish that night and though the Mahi Mahi was not on the menu, they had run out. I tried the shrimp skewers and the rice pilaf with the potato all star top ups. I liked it. the other tried the various others that is pretty good menu for seafood. had a wonderful time chatting we stayed quite late, nearby tables emptied we had rounds of coffee and some deserts. we loved it there.
