Costa Verde Restaurant - CALHETA

Classificar como restaurante o local é um pouco ambicioso. Parece mais um snack-bar que também serve refeições. Não há lista, não há entradas, a comida.. Bem o melhor como disse no titulo é a vista e a senhora também era simpática. . Se quiserem um serviço de melhor qualidade é melhor procurar uma alternativa.

Restaurante simples, vista magnífica, comida razoável, simpatia no atendimento, boa relação qualidade preço. Bom para passar um final de tarde na esplanada a ver o por do sol.

The owners were great, warming and helpful with great attention and ease. eating was full of taste and plentiful, and the intention especially with the sunset is breathtaking. doesn't look like much from outside, but give him a chance that they won't be... destroyed!

As always, the hopes and greetings were excellent. such a beautiful small family restaurant with lots of parking.

We were recommended this place to eat by a guest in our hotel, we had also known about it from Tripadvisor. We had to get a taxi there and back which we negotiated to from the harbour at Calheta, (the driver wanted On...our arrival, the place does not look like much, but we were given a warm welcome and we decided to eat outside. The meals were cooked fresh we all had a starter of Chicken balls one of us had Swordfish and the other Steak, they cooked beef with chips as a childs meal for our daughter and deep fried banana, while we were there lots of locals came and went for a takeaway service, but no one else came to sit down and eat. This did surprise me as it was not busy we had the complete attention of the family members that run the restaurant. Our daughter years old) likes to talk and they indulged her a lot, I suppose people in Madiera love children and they spoil them a little and they certainly spoilt our little one by telling her she could eat as many deep fried bananas as she wants for no extra charge, she loved them and had at least half a dozen on top of her meal and dessert we have not see her eat so well for a long time. The meal for us all was beautiful, and the endorsement by the locals says it all. The food was as good as the views. There is plenty of free parking as well if you need it. If ever we are back in Calheta we will be back.
