Great fresh vegies, tasty food ,,,very clean,,,good service and peaceful location. Will be back again soon !!
Before we went for dinner I read some reviews, and I wasn't sure we should go, on the end we did. Waiter was nice and polite, the wine he recommended was absolutely to our taste (5 stars for him). Food, we tried fish dishes. I don't remember now exact names but mine was grilled grouper and my partner ordered espada with banana and passion fruit. Very tasty (5 stars for food) Definitely come back this week
I never ate worse! On a sterile Terrasse with a great view of the Atlantic the waiter, with his inderwear hanging out of his shorts, tried to convince us that on Madeira you cannot get fresh fish! Therefore the tuna steaks were out of the freezer. The broccoli was black, also out of the freezer. The carrots machine cut in a food processing factory somewhere. They even managed to mess up the garlic bread. Unbelievable! The waiter looked like his body just got out of bed, his mind still on the pillow, talking to us like we had left our brains back home we had to pay € 40 for this unbelievable experience!
We visited here in error as we stopped one restaurant too early on the street.... what a mistake. Service was mediocre.... that is the best bit! My fish was so dry it I couldn't eat it... when I complained to the the waitress she apologised in a fashion which accepted that that's the standard of food they serve. The venue is tired, the view is ok of the sea but don't make this a reason to accept sub standard food! The restaurant had it's own community of ants and flies that visited our table during the meal.... how lucky! One word.... avoid! This is the sister restaurant to the Terrace Bar which has equally bad reviews by all accounts.
