The restaurant is lovely and the service is good too. However, we ordered a pho and a noodle stir fry, but in both dishes, the noodles were clumped together and difficult to eat, which was unpleasant.
Whenever I am in Chancery Lane, this is always my favorite restaurant to visit. I absolutely adore the Vietnamese fried chicken and prawn noodle salad here!
Ordered delivery and it arrived bursting with lovely juicy meat. I ordered the grilled pork with extra chicken satay. Pork was sliced thin and had bite without being chewy, chicken was thigh meat and tender without rubbery or greasiness. Could have done with a wee bit more coriander, and the bread does ansorb the meat juices making it a little soft inside, but that adds to the taste and the Vietnamese baguette held its external crunch. Summer rolls were fine, sauce with them was lovely. Would definitely recommend the 2 fillings I had. I'm not a huge fan of the terrine, cold pork and pate you get in one version these but that's just me, and some people prefer the cold meat selection. Grilled pork can be tough but the one here was lovely.
We were lucky to get a table reserved on the day as it was the last day of Eat out to help out. I found the prices can be add up if you order lots of starters. Good value for mains and baguettes. They do add a service charge and have forgotten to take 50% off for one of the dishes! We had not gone over the £10 discount limit per person but as it was 50% offer on food we did not quibble. We enjoyed our meal and would like to return for the spring rolls, baguette and main courses. I do miss Vietnamese food!
