Gigs Fish And Chips - Camden

The staff at Gigs were very lovely and welcoming. The fish and chips was super delicious. We really enjoyed our dinner here!

Lovely staff. Welcoming and attentive without being over the top, natural hosts. I went on my own and was very comfortable and I intend to re visit with friends. Food delicious,fresh,everything super clean. Not just fish and chips on offer. Lovely Christmas decorations to cheer up a grey day. Great find and recommend highly.

I worked very close by in the mid 70s and often used to come over to Fitzrovia to a number of Greek restaurants that were there then. Sadly, not many left now! Gigs is an exception and our visit was most enjoyable, not least of all to escape from the crazy busy streets of Soho where we were staying. We had some taramasalata and the sea bass for a main which we washed down with a bottle of Retsina which we love and always takes us back to the Greek Islands when we have it.

Positive: Very fresh fish, nice batter, well-cooked. Big portion, too much to finish for this grown man. Very friendly service and cozy place! Nice starters, calimari and olives with lovely feta. Nice menu with good alternatives to fish chips. Less positive: Air fried (or something? fries. Weirdly mushy soft thingys. Might just be a matter of taste, but totally threw me off. Neither crunchy or soft... Recommandable? I'd go back for the fish, but those fries man...

I’ve been going to Gigs for years and food has always been great. However, I went last week and received such appalling service, I will never go again. Unfortunately, this was due to one server who was extremely rude as I had asked for condiment and a receipt; he slammed the receipt onto the counter and asked me “ is that good enough for you?” I guess that the loss of one customer means nothing to them, but I will certainly go elsewhere and not recommend Gigs to anyone.
